The Commissioner of Police, CP, in charge of Information Communication Technology, ICT, Abuja, CP Miller Dantawaye has recently lost his father to the cold hands of death.
In a condolence message sent by the Security Situation Room, SSR, Abuja, "it is not the years in our lives that matters, but the life in our years", quoting Abraham Lincoln, a former President of the United States of America.
The condolence message which was signed by the SSR Convener, Douglas Ogbankwa Esq, went further to say, "the security situation room mourns with one of our own over the painful exit of an icon and enigma, Pa Gajere Dantawaye DCP (rtd), FRM, JP, the father of the Commissioner of Police, Information Communication Technology, ICT, Force Headquarters, Abuja, CP Miller Dantawaye FSS. The SSR prays that God gives the amiable CP the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss".
Quoting the French philosopher, Jean Le Fontain, the convener said, "Death never takes the wise by surprise, he is always ready to go".
"We find solace in the fact that Papa has gifted the Nigeria Police a quintessential officer and gentleman, CP Miller Dantawaye, FSS, following in papa's footsteps of having a distinctive and distinguished career in the Nigeria Police", said Ogbankwa Esq.
The late Dantawaye patriarch who departed this world at the age of 96, served the Nigeria Police and retired in 1998 with the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Survived to mourn him is CP Miller Dantawaye and every member of the family, immediate and extended as he will be laid to rest on Saturday 25th day of November at Afogo Village.
