Mr GODSPOWER OSAGIE ETINOSA is a gallant Superintendent of Police (SP) in the Nigeria Police Force who hails from Orhionmwon LGA of Edo State, was born into the family of Rev Samuel and Mrs C. Osagie.
Gallant SP Osagie is an alumnus of Enugu State University of Technology, class of 2005, where he obtained his first degree.
Due to his quest for education and personal development, SP Osagie pushed further to obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Criminology and Security Studies.
Not resting on his academic oars, SP Osagie proceeded clinching double MSc in Criminology and Security Studies, and Conflict Resolution.

Astute SP Osagie developed a passion against intimidation, oppression, crimes and criminality, a passion he nurtured and developed while growing up and this led him to joining the Nigeria Police.
As a trained officer who specializes in operations / intelligence led policing, elegant SP Osagie has been a dogged fighter with a knack to ensure a Nigerian society free from crime and criminality.
To further boost his interest in action and reaction against crimes and criminalities, SP Osagie has attended several courses. Such courses have spurred him high to be exceptional in the discharge of his policing duties. Some of these courses includes, STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP SECURITY MANAGEMENT COURSE. This showed his effortless commitment and dedication to the Police Force and Nigerians. His efforts has not gone unnoticed.
SP Osagie is certified after undergoing the National Crime Agency (NCA) Course, where he was so distinguished in crime bursting and security fibers. He has been certified by the NCA as a specialist in anti kidnapping, rescue operation and crisis negotiation.

The multi-award winning SP Osagie is skyrocketing with the distinctions certified with:
1. GALLANTRY PERFORMANCE AWARD, 2018. This was after he played a vital role during the OFFA BANK ROBBERY INCIDENT as a Unit Commander from MoPol 51, PMF.
2. ADVANCE POLICE DETECTIVE TRAINING COURSE, ADC 70/2020. A Certificate of Participation was offered him at the Police Staff College, Jos.
3. Certificate of Excellence in Combating Crime and Criminality In Edo State in 2021. This was proudly acknowledged by The Orhionmwon Students Union.
4. Distinguished Excellent Commitment Award was done on him for his unwavering commitment and contributions to the growth of the national security. This was a courtesy of Nigeria Insight News.
5. Brilliant Performance Award on Combating Crimes, Trustworthiness, Intelligence Gathering and Community Policing. This honour was done on him in 2022 by the Guild of Online Publishers.
6. Award of Excellence in Combating Crime and Criminality in Edo State. This strong acknowledgement was from the National Association of Edo State Students.
7. On 17th day of December, 2023, he bagged another Award of Excellence from *TWINSPORIUM ENTERTAINMENT AGENCY* for his human Capital Development, Support for Youths Empowerment and The Zeal to Eradicate Crime in Edo State.
8. Nigeria Integrity Watch found SP Osagie worthy of his policing performance and thereby honoured with an award of Special Leadership Merit in 2023.
9. He was honoured for EFFECTIVE POLICING AND CRIME FIGHTING IN NIGERIA, an award of excellence by the Targeters Magazine
10. At the wake of 2024, SP Osagie was recognized by Absolute Infinite Focus with a LEADERSHIP AMBASSADOR AWARD
11. In March 2024, gentle but versatile SP Osagie was honoured with an Achievement Award by the Independent Publishers Association of Nigeria
12. Like a candle light that can never be hidden, in January 2024, the Absolute Infinite Focus done him another LEADERSHIP AMBASSADOR AWARD
13. An award of EXCELLENT SERVICE TO HUMANITY was conferred on SP Osagie by THE JOURNAL NEWS on 10th day of February, 2023. This honour was based on his hard work and contributions towards the protection of lives and property in Nigeria

SP Osagie was a one-time IGP IRT Coordinator, Edo State Annex, now the Commander of the Edo State Police Command Intelligence Rapid Respond Squad (CIRRS).
FEW OF HIS FRONTLINE ACHIEVEMENTS
As a fearless officer, he has led various operatives to arrest most notorious kidnappers, armed robbers, dreaded cultists and other suspects who were involved in heinous crimes. Below are some of his achievements:
1. He played a great role that led to the rescue of the Igueben Tom Ikimi Railway Station kidnapped victims of the 14th January, 2023. It was an undaunted success.
2. He led the Police CIRRS team that arrested notorious kidnappers who were specialised in terrorizing and kidnapping road users of the ever busy Benin-Auchi road.
3. On 24th day of May, 2022, SP Osagie foiled another attempt to kidnap a popular businessman in Benin City. While foiling the attempt, sophisticated arms and ammunition were recovered.
4. SP Osagie arrested Ola Lawan and Sunday Olugbemide. These suspects were notorious armed robbers who found joy in terrorizing the innocent citizens of Benin City and Ore, Oyo State. They were apprehended by SP Osagie in Benin City, in the Ugbowo axis on the 5th day of January, 2022 and arms and ammunition were recovered from them.
5. SP Osagie was again in action when he traced and apprehended the daredevils who kidnapped and killed one Omuru Orogho on 15th day of September, 2022. The kidnappers who perpetrated the evil were Abdul Shaib, Musaraba Musaraba and Ugbeide Abdul.
6. He led the team that rescued the kidnapped Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Fugar, Etsako Central on 26th of November, 2021
7. In 2020, he carried out an applauded arrest of the suspects who kidnapped and murdered Hon Presley Ediagbonya, the former Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Edo State
SP Osagie is known and recognized for his extra policing activities and this has earned and still earning accolades for him always.
The crime fighting and honest SP Osagie who is currently serving in the Command Intelligence Rapid Response Squad (CIRRS) of the Nigeria Police, Edo State Command, has worked in various units of the Police and the assurance in him has brought him to a policing stardom.
SP Osagie was drafted by the Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command to lead his team to embark on bush combing in order to ensure safe release of the Tom Ikimi Railway Station kidnapped victims. Engaging and trailing the kidnappers, fearless SP Osagie was able to rescue 12 out of the 14 victims. When he gathered information that there were two other victims still with the kidnappers, relentless SP Osagie re engaged the bush and mounted pressure on the hostage takers who abandoned the two remaining victims unhurt.
Outstanding SuPol Osagie has been identified via his internal policing works. This unequivocal recognition is a show of the passion he has for the security of lives, properties and ensure a society that is free from criminal threats at all time.
