Edo Council boss, Edosa, emerges Red Cross patron

The Nigerian Red Cross Society, NRCS, Edo State Branch has recently honoured Hon Engr Edosa Enowoghomwenma, the Chairman, Ovia South-West Local Government Council, as their Patron.


Describing Hon Engr Edo during the 2024 WORLD RED CROSS DAY CELEBRATION, at the headquarters of the Edo State Branch in Benin City, the Branch Secretary, TR Wilson Ekhomogiazin said, "Hon Engr Edosa Enowoghomwenma has displayed a fair spirit for humanity.


"He is vibrant, humane and has the interest of serving humanity which he has been doing and we are using this opportunity to appreciate him and also spur him to do more", he said.


In his response, Hon Engr Edosa said, "I am glad to be honoured with this award and also glad to be a patron of the Nigerian Red Cross Society. It is an honour I quite appreciate.

"There is nothing we can do that will be too much. We will continue to do our best for humanity and our society.


"I am much more spurred to do more. This award is actually a call to duty and we shall continue to do our best by God's grace and with all of your cooperation", he said.


It will be recalled that Hon Engr Edosa Enowoghomwenma was recently acknowledged and honoured by the prestigious Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, recently during the 2024 May 3rd World Press Freedom Day in Benin City, Edo State.


Hon Engr Edosa was decorated by Comrade Amb Festus Alenkhe JP, FSGI, Dr Wilson Imogan, both former chairmen of the Branch and Comrade Moses Aguinede, Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Edo State Chapter.


The World Red Cross Day is celebrated worldwide on every 8th day of May and this year's theme is KEEPING HUMANITY ALIVE
