ICCOBA EXECUTIVE: OCHTON LOGISTICS Congratulates Odigie, Kadiri, others

The Immaculate Conception College, Benin, Old Boys Association, ICCOBA, 96 set has recently held her Annual General Meeting, AGM, in Benin City. One of the agendas of the AGM was to elect elective executive members who will pilot the affairs of the association for another two years.


In an election, Engr Emma Okhakhu was elected with a vote of 35, defeating Osarumwense Airhuoyuwa who polled 19. The Public Relations Office, PRO, was contested and won by Engr Alexander Idin who is the current PRO and polled 32 votes, defeating Benet Enudi who polled 22 votes.

The office of the Financial Secretary was well contested by Hon Jolly Isibor who got 24 votes, loosing to Peter Anelu who scored 30. Igwenagu Ifeanyi and Bobby Asekhomhe keenly contested for the position of the Assistant Secretary, leaving Mr Ifeanyi to win 28-26.

The office of the Secretary was won by Mr Anetor Sylvester who polled 38 votes over Mr Orobosa Ewere who got 16 votes. The most celebrated victory was when Comrade Kadiri Christopher, defeated his rival by polling 51 votes to crush Egharevba Davidson who got one vote. Kingsley Otaigbe Odigie polled 41 votes to defeat Ewere Eyotor who polled 13 votes for the position of presidency.

Addressing the voters earlier, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, ELECO, Mr Dumbiri John-Aisosa said, "we are going to work with the clauses of the constitution and bye laws. Only those who have paid their monthly dues till date shall be allowed to contest for any position while those who are financially and otherwise active shall be allowed to vote".


The voting was done through physical and online platforms and was well commended by members of the association.

On his art, the Managing Director, MD, and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of OCHTON LOGISTICS , Mr Tony Ogieriakhi said, "this election is a strong test of popularity. Members who contested have be appraised with the votes they got.


"I am so glad to see the high interest of members trooping out to sincerely vote their conscience. It is truly a test of popularity. The votes polled by Kadiri Christopher showed that his commitment is unwavering and I quite appreciate such commitment. So I congratulate him, the president-elect Kingsley Otaigbe and others elected", he said.
