The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State Council, Comrade Amb Festus Alenkhe JP, FSGI has been recently described as the pillar of journalism in Edo State by the League of Veteran Journalists, LVJ.
In a congratulatory message to the Edo NUJ boss, he was described as the MAN OF THE PEOPLE.
According to the message, "The Chairman and members of the League of Veteran Journalists, Edo State chapter wish to congratulate you in the just concluded "Music Festival and Carol Night" which ushered your members into the Christmas Festival Mood.
"Your organizational acumen demonstrated, as usual, during the festival was worthy of emulation", the statement read.
The message went further to congratulate the Council Chairman on his elevation by the World Safety Organisation where he was honoured as a Fellow, Safety Global Institute, FSGI in November, 2023.
"These achievements are coming almost simultaneously because of your creative mind and your determination to make a difference in some aspects of journalism.
"As veterans, we are glad to be associated with your success as chairman of the NUJ, Edo State. Your leadership styles of simplicity and contentment will obviously lead you to higher heights. Keep the flag flying. You are on the right course", they admonished.
The LVJ used the privilege to pray for Comrade Amb Festus Alenkhe and the entire NUJ.
