ICCOBA set to launch 80 for 80

The Immaculate Conception College Old Boys Association, ICCOBA, Benin, is set for a special fundraising luncheon. The fundraising Luncheon is to raise funds for the 80th Anniversary Celebration and to do a legacy project in the School, Immaculate Conception College, Benin.


In a special invitation being circulated by Worldwide President of the association, Engr Ighodalo Edetanlen, the fundraising luncheon is geared towards the 80th anniversary of the Immaculate Conception College.


The special luncheon which is tagged 80 MILLION FOR 80 YEARS is scheduled to hold on 16th day of March, while the access ticket is pegged at N200,000 only.



Dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include the reverred Royal Father, Oba Ewuare ll of the great Benin Kingdom, while Barr Solomon Asemota SAN is to serve as the Chairman of the occasion.


Other dignitaries are Mr Tosa Ogbomon of First Aluminium Nig Plc to serve in the capacity of Special Guest of Honour, while other Guests of Honour are The Trade Union Congress President, Comrade Festus Osifo, Mr Peter Akhigbe who is the Council Operations Manager, Chief Dr Peter Ozua who is a United Kingdom based consultant on Histopathology/cytopathology, and Dr Evans Osahon Imafidon, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Imafidon Group Inc, New York.


The dress code for the day is to be "formal" while inquiries can be made through Nedo Osayande and Sunday Uwumarogie.


The school, ICC, was founded in 1944 by a then Catholic missionary, Bishop Kelly and the school was named after him. The school was later renamed Immaculate Conception College and it was later taken over by the government then. The school has since been returned to the Catholic Communion.
