The Edo State Coalition of Riverine Communities has recently called on the perceived detractors of the Presidential Amnesty Program, PAP, Chairman, Dr Dennis Otuaro to either stop the attack or face similar response.

In a press statement signed by Comrades Ipiteikumoh Godfrey Owei the National President, Ezekiel Daniel the Spokesperson, Mr Daniel Europa the Secretary and Hon Ayedi Ikiyokepere Sunny the Publicity Secretary, the Coalition Applauds the thorough struggle of Dr Otuaro which has earned him the gaffer.

According to the statement issued, "The coalition joins the plethora of progressive voices across Niger Delta to state unequivocally that enemies of the region should desist from their dastardly and inglorious acts of trying to pull Dr. Dennis Otuaro down.

"Majority of the people of the Niger Delta know Dr Dennis Otuaro as a quintessential man for the job. He is a thoroughbred product of struggle of emancipation for the rights of our people. A fine gentleman and leader of repute. His credentials speak for him and that's why the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu deemed it fit to appoint him.

"We made bold to say that since the program started, none of the persons that had occupied the office come close to him academic wise, capacity and deep knowledge of the issue vis a vis the struggle.

"For a group of persons to be calling for his sack speaks nothing more than work of mischief. These mischief makers are everywhere on social media spewing all manner of falsehood and spurious claims to try painting Dr Dennis in bad light. These bunch of charlatans ex-militants leaders are bitter because having turned Amnesty office to their Cocoa farm, are now face with reality that is not going to be business as usual, which automatically put a stop to various abuses and illegalities in the office.

"They are whipping up all forms of sentiments to divert attention and distract Dr Dennis from discharging his duties to the delight of Niger Deltans.

"The coalition enjoin all to disregard every move by these rogues to misinform the public and malign the person of Dr. Dennis Otuaro.

"We are strongly in solidarity with him as he discharge his duties", they said.
