IDP resumes US varsity for doctorate

Amos Ishaku arrives US for PhD journey


The Internally Displaced Person, IDP, from northern Nigeria who was accommodated at the Home for the Needy in Edo State, Amos Ishaku has finally resumed at the University of Illinois, Chicago-United States of America.


Amos Ishaku who was one of the 12 refugees from the Home of the Needy who got automatic employment offered by the Edo State government in 2023 due to his high academic performance, was again offered a scholarship to further his education at the US University where he has resumed to study for his Philosophical Doctorate degree, PhD in Engineering.


In a chat with the Coordinator of the International Christian Center where the Home for the Needy is affiliated, Pastor Solomon Folorunsho, he said, "This is a clear indication that creating an enabling environment for those in need yields beautiful results".


According to Pastor Folorunsho, "This is to let the world and our friends know that the support they are giving to the orphans, widows, displaced people and the vulnerable in our center are yielding great results",


International Christian Center is the owner of the Home for the Needy, popular referred to as the IDP Camp situated at Uhogua Community of the Ovia North-East in Edo State
