Seadogs feed 750 Nigerian vulnerable 3x a day

The National Association of Seadogs (NAS) also referred to as Pyrates Confraternity has recently embarked on a humanitarian project tagged FEEDING THE STREET KIDS FOR A DAY.


The project which is one of the numerous charity projects of the NAS was executed by the Benbow Deck in Benin City in partnership with Atlantis Deck in Atlanta-Georgia targeted at feeding 450 kids but ended feeding 750 kids, nursing mothers among other vulnerable.


According to the President of the Benbow Deck, Ibrahim Oven who applauded the Atlantis Deck for partnering with them in feeding the street kids whom he said also deserve a good life in this yuletide.


Speaking further, he said the Deck planned feeding 450 street kids with breakfasts, lunch, and suppers for the day but the figure changed to 750 persons because the vulnerable is more in the street.

The Regional Vice President Edo, Ondo and Ekiti Area, Dirisu Odion said the main objective of the NAS is to ensure a society where everyone is equal without oppression.


He said feeding the street child is an idea to celebrate with the vulnerable and less privileged in the society and he commended the Atlantis Deck for partnering with some other decks within Nigeria.


On his part, the Project Coordinator, Omotayo Fasade said the aim of feeding the street child is to put smiles on the faces of the poor within the society this yuletide.


Fasade said 450 kids were planned for but 750 persons were treated to the one day meal due to the fact that the response from the vulnerable was massive.

An elder in the association, Temitope Akinsoye said humanitarian project is inherent in the NAS as a routine and thereby commended the Benbow Deck for undertaking the task.


A partner who is a core volunteer to the NAS projects, Dr Angela Ogbu applauded the project and promised to continually show her support physically when invited for more other humanitarian projects.


The kids were however filled with joy and they also appreciated the kind gesture of the NAS.
