The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has recently responded to a video that trended on media handles that the public primary school at Uzalla Community was threatening to the pupils and staffs.
In another video, it was seen that the Edo State Governor ordered that the school be demolished and the students be relocated to two communities away.
Responding, a parent who spoking on the grounds of anonymity said, "the governor has heard our cries and he has done the right thing by relocating our children. But I think he should have completed the structure which the community is struggling to build. It will be another stress for us as parents to take our children from here to two communities away".
It was gathered that the demolition of the old building was in line with the Governor Godwin Obaseki directives on State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB.
The structure of six blocks of classroom under construction at the Uzalla Community primary school premises is an initiative of the Uzalla Community in Uhunmwonde Locl Government area of Edo State.
The structure has reached an advance stage for roofing and the community is using the privilege to call on Edo State Government to assist in completing the structure in order to relieve their children and wards from the untold hardship of distant trekking.
Watch video of the demolition.
