Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Council Chairman, Dr Eric Osayande recently extended the weekly environmental sanitation campaign to Agbor Park and environs in Ward 3 of the local government area.
The weekly environmental exercise is the Council's policy on clean, safe and healthy environment in the locality; held at the Agbor Park area and environs, where market women, residents and members of ANNEWAT joined the exercise. Officials of the Department of Environment of the Council supervised the exercise, with officials of Public Works Volunteers, PUWOV, on ground to ensure law and order in the area.
Similar exercise has been carried out in Ogheghe, Egba, Evbomoma and Ohovbe markets. The sanitation exercise makes it fifth in the series of the clean-up since the policy was effected in September. The Vice Chairman of the Council, Speaker of the Legislative Arm, Secretary to Local Government, Councilor, Ward 3, Heads of Department and Supervisory Councilors were at the clean-up exercise.
