The congregation of the God's Greater Grace General Assembly has recently had their annual thanksgiving service at the Church auditorium at Omozee Street, Benin City.
The harvest thanksgiving service which was tagged HARVEST OF DIVINE ENCOUNTERS, was well attended by members of the ministry as well as they invited.
In a sermon delivered by a guest speaker, Prophet Edeki, he admonished everyone to seek possible means of honouring God almighty.
In the depth of his teachings, he said, "every god deserves praise, worship and honour. So channel all your heart to give God alone your praise, worship and honour.
"My heart gladdens me when I see you all coming joyfully to thank God for all His benefits towards us for the year. Our children in the diaspora sent their warm greetings to you all on this year's harvest thanksgiving", he said.
"Try to avoid comparison. Comparison is the bedrock of ingratitude. Be contended with what God has given while you strive for more.
"God honours those who honour him", he said.
Taking his anchor scripture from the book of Proverbs 3:9, he said, "thanksgiving is defined as an honour to God".
On his part, the founder and general overseer of the GGGGA Worldwide, Pastor Sunny Akenbor said, "God is not tired of blessing those who trust and rely on him. Put your whole trust in Him and see how well He will honour you.
Highlights of the harvest thanksgiving were ministrations by White Dreams who featured in drama, choir ministrations by the church choir, women group and the guest choir from the church headquarters, family, group and individual thanksgiving rally and as well as the items resented to the general overseer and his amiable wife by members of the church headquarters led by Pastor Sam Ehigiator.
