NAWOJ APPOINTS ABIMBOLA, ADESUWA, OTHERS

The Nigerian Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, has recently reeled out her plan of actions for the new administration of the association.


The association under the leadership of Comrade Aisha Bura deemed it nice to set up committees in order to encourage smooth flows of the association nationwide.


The association set up three standard working committees which includes National Conference Committee, Disciplinary Committee and Education/Training Committee.


Comrade Dr Abimbola Oyetunde, Mrs, who is the National Trustee Member representing the Zone F of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, was appointed the Chairman of the National Conference Committee, while Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan, Chairperson of the NAWOJ, Edo State Chapter, was appointed a member of the committee. Other members of the committee are Comrades Esther Ado Solomon, Penina Ali Jeje, Hafsat Iliyasu Aliyu, Hauwa Ladan, Timi Jumbo, Stella Igboka, Ayobola Ipinlaiye and Adeola Ekine.

The Disciplinary Committee has Comrade Shola Jacobs as its chairman, while other appointed members of the committee are Comrades Chinaza John, Enohor Ohevwo-Emaduka, Halima Angulu, Maria Olodo, Srkina Sanusi, Fatima Bello, Hajara Abdullahi, Ngozi Anosika and Laiatu Bamaiyi.

For Education and Training, the association appointed Ifeyinwa Omowole as the chairman of the committee. Other members appointed were Doris Olumoko, Stephanie Ude, Rasheeda Yusuf, Bisola Ariwodola, Maureen Sheyin, Anita Gonna, Fati Mustapha, Hannatu Muhammad and of course, the Plateau State Chapter Chairperson.
