See 2 Nigerian youths empowering other African youths

The Idalia organisation has within a short time of existence, empowered some African students which they tagged "hunt, train and equip".


Addressing leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State Council, the founder of the Idalia organisation, David Dosu said, "we recently sponsored two Ghanaian students to Europe to train them and equip them to help impact the Ghanaian environment.


"We have a deal with Harvard University in the United States of America and the deal is renewable upon expiration. I am a product of Harvard University too.


"We will be sponsoring another set of 50 students from across Africa to Switzerland for training and we will equip them when they return.


"Our mode of selection of qualified students is very simple. The interested student will first apply through our portal online. After applying, CERN and Idalia organisation will do the selection together and qualified persons are selected and Idalia funds the trip.


"Idalia was established less than a year ago and we have a lot of long term and short term programs that will suit our mission and vision", he said.


Responding, the Chairman of the Edo NUJ, Comrade Amb Festus Alenkhe JP, FSGI, MNIPR said, "the world is evolving at the moment due to science.


"The entire world is still developing even those who said they are developed are still developing.


"The Media is your friend, always carry them along in your operations in order to get adequate publicity for your programs", he said.


Idalia is a Greek/Italia word which translates as 'Behold the sun' where the founder, David Dosu and his Co-founder, Destiny Ogedengbe who is a New York based Lawyer, are sourcing for the smartest minds in Africa, project them to the world and work towards their talent retention in Africa for the Africa development in all sphere
