His RoyalHighness, Alhaji Umoru Inusa Umoru, the Aidonogie of South Ibie, Etsako West local government area, Edo State has clarified claims that his ascension to the throne is politically motivated.
The Aidonogie of South- Ibie made the clarification during a press conference in his palace in South Ibie.
The Edo State government a few weeks ago presented a Letter of Authority to His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umoru Inusa Umoru as the Aidonogie of South-Ibie.
The State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Monday Osaigbovo said the decision is in respect of a Supreme Court judgement, which gave the green light to Alhaji Umoru Inusa Umoru to ascend the throne as Aidonogie of South Ibie
Debunking claims in some quarters , His Royal Highness Umoru Inusa Umoru said after multiple court judgements from the High Court,, Appeal court and Supreme Court, which made him the rightful traditional ruler of South Ibie nullify any claims by anyone to be the Aidonogie of South Ibie
He said he is legally recognized as the Aidonogie of South Ibie in Etsako West Local Government Area.
While suing for peace, the Aidonogie of South Ibie promised that his reign will unite the people
Some palace chiefs said indigenes of south Ibie are happy as the rightful Aidonogie for the throne has been chosen.
They urged all sons and daughters of South Ibie to join hands together with His Royal Highness, Umoru Inusa Umoru to move South Ibie forward in all areas of development.
