The Edo State Coalition of Riverine Communities has recently congratulated Rt Hon Matthew Iduoriyekemwen on his appointment as the Director General of the Asue Ighodalo Campaign Organization.
In a statement signed by the National Coordinator, Comrade Ipiteikumoh Godfrey Owei, the Spokesperson, Comrade Ezekiel Daniel and the Publicity Secretary, Hon Ayedi Ikiyokepere Sunny, Hon Iduoriyekemwen was described as a man with deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by riverine communities.
According to them, "Your appointment is an attestation to your understanding capabilities, dedication and unwavering commitment to service. We are confident that under your leadership, Dr Ighodalo's campaign will be guided by vision, integrity and inclusivity, reflecting the diverse needs and aspirations of our riverine communities in particular and the state in general.
"Your wealth of experience and proven track record makes you the ideal person for this crucial role. We have no doubt that you will bring your expertise to bear in steering the campaign towards success, while also ensuring that the voices and concerns of our riverine communities and the good people of Edo State are heard and prioritized.
"Your deep-rooted understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by our riverine communities uniquely positions you to advocate effectively for our interests and aspirations as we are about to embark on. Vigorous campaign to usher in our governorship candidate. We trust that under your guidance, Dr Ighodalo's campaign will prioritize the development and empowerment of our communities, ensuring that our voices are not only geared but also acted upon", they said.
The coalition used the privilege to pledge their loyalty to Hon Matthew Iduoriyekemwen whom they applauded for stern development he attracted to the riverine communities when he was the Niger-Delta Development Commission, NDDC, boss.
They assure confidence in the leadership style of Hon Iduoriyekemwen that, "as a formidable group, we are ready to work tirelessly alongside you, offering our insights, expertise and resources to contribute to the success of the campaign".
Dr Asue Ighodalo is the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate for the Edo gubernatorial election which is slated to hold on the 21st day of September, 2024 across the 18 local Government Areas of the state.
